Members of the Mizan community are able to comment on features posted on Mizan Project and Mizan Pop, annotate journal articles published in Mizan: Journal for the Study of Muslim Societies and Civilizations, and interact with other members of our scholarly community. To ensure the high quality and professionalism of contributions to our scholarly discourse, we require prospective community members to register and be vetted by the Interlocutor before membership is approved. Anonymous or pseudonymous posting is not permitted.
By registering to become a member of the Mizan community, you agree to maintain a professional tone and uphold basic standards of civility when posting comments. While serious criticism of others’ ideas and claims is legitimate, posting comments that a reasonable individual would judge to be harassing, unprofessional, or insulting will not be tolerated. The Interlocutor reviews all posts before they are made public and will prevent harassing, rude, or indecent posts from being published on the site. Repeated attempts to engage in uncivil or harassing discourse will result in community membership being revoked.
